Soviet Union Uniform and more from Hogspear!

A Russian contact of the Captain recently got in touch through the pages of The Racing Post. After a jolly afternoon of drinking some fine Vodka, Captain Hogspear left for home accompanied by 55 friends. It was only when he awoke the next morning that he realised they were in fact dummies dressed in Russian Army, Navy and Airforce Military uniforms dating from the Cold War Period. Along with various communications equipment, badges and other memorabilia!!! Here are a few pictures of the morning after....!

Vintage Silk Top Hat

Below is a very fine example of a Lock & Co London made gentleman's vintage silk top hat. Complete with its original cardboard box marked sable, Sandown 7 1/8. The hat is approx 5 7/8" tall, white leather inner headband, approx 21 3/4" inner circ, the band may be a later replacement. Initialled JDAJM. Externally in very good condition. Overall in very good condition for its age, a good looking hat ideal for the races or a wedding, please see our other lots for a selection of vintage morning suits.
